Yes, I am back from the tropical island trip. It was GREAT! And that is why I am having this post-holiday trauma (as my friend called it). After spending 2 great days always surrounded by my friends, being back in the city now, alone in my room, having to read papers is just so sad.
I don't know how to describe the trip. There is so many things about it that it's hard to choose. I will only say it was not as small as we expected, that the weather was cloudy but comfrotable, that water was warm and beautifuly blue, that I didn't swim in the ocean (I wanted but... well... only "I"), that we played ukulele a lot, that we watched and touched sea creatures (crabs, sea rabbits, sea cucumbers, sea snails), that I got many cute sea shells and what not. I love ocean/sea, so it would be good anyway. I could just sit and stare at the waves for hours, smelling the saltiness in the air.
It was also fun to have all those people around, joking and playing like little kids. This is probably my favourite part of the trip because my friends are very important to me (as I always say - my Taiwanese family). I really hope that wasn't the last time we had a trip like that. Though I cannot think of anytime soon that we could go somewhere for 2 days:/ no money and no time:/ And in summer everyone will go their own ways :| Well I will go home myself too.
Ahhh... I need to read now about direct marketing technologies, and it seem so boring when it's in "papaer language". And there is the dark menace of my thesis hanging around too, aaaaaa. Sometimes I really think having simple life, living by the sea would be so good. Although I would probably feel bored after a week XD
Anyway... I don't know how to describe all the detials so just have a look on my picasa, and also a video made by my friend:

I now see what your trip was like. I think it's fresh to go to another place, especially you got like 10 friends to go with, that is a lot of fun.
I kind of live your life of being alone and working on project/stuff too as you know, so I feel for you. I mean, there is no good way to really make it better. I guess we just try to survive.
I dont' know, but if you were stuck back in Poland, watching snow falling outside, maybe it's preferable to at least be in Taiwan? More exciting at least (even though you're stuck inside working on stuff).
So can you change your thesis topic to something else? Or it's set in stone?
and no way I would prefer to be in Poland. You know my unhappiness is not because of Taiwan, I think it's way smaller because I'm here. It's just life, not always perfect.
I don't think I can change the topic... I just need to figure out how to specify anti-branding topic :D
Nice to meet you:)
